Many Windows users feel more comfortable once they get one of the several Mac apps that enable Aero Snap-style window placement, so that might be something to look into. It's powerful enough for that purpose even in its free mode and the paid mode is a god-tier text editor.

I've looked at this board and I didn't see any topics/posts that cover where a brand new Mac user should go to learn the basics about using OSX (at least, not one that's been active in the past 30 days) nor what apps I should install that don't come included but most users would recommend as essential or extremely useful. I'm taking the plunge and getting a Macbook Air with the new M1 SOC.
